Odyssey Charter School Rolls Out ReaXium Just in Time for the New School Year
A fast, well coordinated data migration brought Odyssey Charter School’s entire fleet onto real-time Dual GPS and Student Ridership tracking before the first bell of the new school year.

Brevard County, FL: home to Odyssey’s charter school campuses.
Three solutions, one platform
| Dual GPS | Student Ridership | MyReaXiumApp |
|---|---|---|
| Fleet monitoring across every campus | Real-time check-in and check-out verification | Keeps parents and guardians informed |
The challenge: visibility and accuracy at the pace of growth
Odyssey Charter School coordinates daily transportation for thousands of students across its OCS and OCS Jr/Sr campuses, plus the OPA summer program it runs, all under one charter system in Brevard County. That scale demands knowing, with certainty, which student boarded which bus, at which stop, and at what time, and proving it during state FTE audits without relying on paper headcounts.
Odyssey Charter School’s transportation program today, powered by ReaXium
- 20 school buses on the road
- 3 school campuses served
- 1,442 students riding with ReaXium
- 95 active bus routes
- 393 parents on MyReaXiumApp
- 3 transportation admins
- 3+ year partnership ahead
- 1 unified platform
The migration story
Because families are the platform’s most visible stakeholder, this migration carried extra weight: Odyssey needed to move parents off their previous parent-facing app and onto MyReaXiumApp, which took careful training and alignment to get families fully adopted. Migrating the GPS side of the platform went smoothly, thanks to disciplined project management on both sides. One of the standout parts of this project was the data migration and integration work behind the scenes: the ReaXium team worked hand-in-hand with Odyssey to pull existing route planning information from the district’s routing system, EZ Routing, and consolidate it, along with student, driver, and stop data, into the ReaXium ecosystem, without asking the district to rebuild its information from scratch.
“Moving to a single platform shouldn’t mean starting from zero, and that was exactly our goal with this migration.”
ReaXium Implementation Team

From a focused pilot to a full fleet rollout
The path to full implementation began with a proof-of-concept pilot: onboard tablet installation, telecom activation, hands-on training, and a live observation period. With the pilot validated, Odyssey scaled into full production across all 20 buses, backed by a managed service model already set to run 3+ years, through 2029.
What the team has today
- Real-time fleet monitoring, with the location of every bus and the status of every route visible from a single dashboard.
- Student check-in and check-out verification, with automatic flags if a student boards the wrong bus or exits at the wrong stop.
- State-audit-ready FTE reporting generated in minutes instead of days.
- Real-time notifications for the parents and guardians now using MyReaXiumApp.
- Direct access to ReaXium’s managed support team, with SLA-backed response times.
Welcome to the ReaXium network
Across multiple campuses, 20 buses, and 95 routes, Odyssey hit the goal that mattered most for this project: everything ready and running by the first day of school.

“From the beginning, it has been clear that the ReaXium team truly knows their product and understands the importance of student transportation. Their commitment to safety is evident in everything they do. ReaXium has helped us strengthen safety, improve communication, and gain great visibility into our student transportation. The team understands that behind every rider is a student whose safety matters, and that focus comes through in both their technology and their support.”
