Washington, DC: CONNECTID 2018

ReaXium & Aratek in connect:ID

ReaXium CEO, Edgar Zorrilla recently traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend the connect:ID conference. With over 1,400 attendees, connect:ID brings together government and industry, suppliers and buyers, thought leaders and end users. The conference explored how secure identity technology enhances authentication across countless markets, such as aviation, education, and border control.

While at the conference we got to stop by Aratek is booth. Aratek is a global provider of mobile biometric devices, including the devices used in the ReaXium School Suite solutions. These devices allow for secure identification and authentication of students, teachers, and drivers on the bus, at school, or in the classroom. Edgar also got the chance to observe other emerging identity technologies and devices from exhibitors such as Find Face Security, Princeton Identity, Telpo, and even IBIA, the International Biometrics + Identity Association.

While in D.C., Edgar met with data analytics leader MicroStrategy to discuss some of their similar vertical markets and the use of analytics and mobility to provide superior visibility. Like MicroStrategy, ReaXium believes better data makes for better decision-making. That’s why we treat identification as a central data point in understanding the inner workings of your school, fleet, or organization. It was great to learn about MicroStrategy’s use of a digital credential platform named “Usher”. Moving forward, this trip to DC combined the innovation of identity technologies with the robustness of harnessing analytics for better decisions — two great takeaways from an eventful trip!
